Series of Incidents

Since the beginning of the extensive conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military officials have been subjected to assaults within Moscow.

This most recent event follows other notable incidents, including:

  • General Yaroslav Moskalik was killed in a car bomb attack in Moscow earlier this year.
  • General Igor Kirillov died in late 2024 when a device hidden on a scooter was triggered from afar.

While a source from Ukraine in the past linked Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such allegations are not formally acknowledged as a matter of policy.

The conflict has been marked by covert operations moving into the heart of the Russian capital.

The probe into General Sarvarov's death remains active.
